"The HONESTY expressed by the members of AA in meetings has the power to open my mind.  Nothing can block the flow of energy that HONESTY carries with it.  The only obstacle to this flow of energy is inebriation, but even then, no one will find a closed door if he or she has left and chooses to return.  Once he or she has received the gift of sobriety, each AA member is challenged on a daily basis to accept a program of HONESTY."

Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

Complete honesty in all things.  Telling little “white” lies as they call them is just as dishonest as the big whopping lies we used to tell to enable our drug/alcohol use.  If we can’t be honest with God and ourselves, then how can we expect to face this sickness of addiction.  Sobriety is a gift from God – but working out recovery is a choice we make each day.  We choose not to drink/use, we choose to tell the truth, and we choose to attend the meetings to grow. 

The Bible is full of passages concerning lying and liars and their end is not something any of us want.  So choose today the program of honesty -- in all things, in driving (obey the posted speed limits), in all dealings with people and most of all -- honesty in working your step program with your sponsor.

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars — their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  This is the second death." -- Revelation 21:8

* As you make your requests known to the Lord, include:

·        greater personal discipline,

·        worldwide persecuted Christians,

·        Hedge of protection to our children

·        Blessings to our spouses

·        Godly men in Government

·        Rest and Peace to our pastors

·        Your activities for the day.

Love One Another

Stand Together

Fight this war, no matter the cost

Pray for our children

Turn our hearts toward heaven

Seek to be one nation under God.
