Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

Step one – our lives had become unmanageable.  Something so hard for most of us to admit.  We like being in control, we think we are doing it OK.  Until, we walk into a group and find the others who we perceive to really be out of control -- we pity them, we think we are not like them, and then … something miraculous happens – we discover we are just like they are -- we are completely out of control.  God has never shown favorites and the beauty of the Recovery Group is that we are all equally there for the same thing – to learn to live with sobriety.

From that point of realizing our need – God begins to pour out His abundant grace – filling us, leading us -- healing us!

“So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come.  Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us."  Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.” -- Acts 10:  33-35

* As you make your requests known to the Lord, include:

·        greater personal discipline,

·        worldwide persecuted Christians,

·        Hedge of protection to our children

·        Blessings to our spouses

·        Godly men in Government

·        Rest and Peace to our pastors

·        Your activities for the day.

Love One Another

Stand Together

Fight this war, no matter the cost

Pray for our children

Turn our hearts toward heaven

Seek to be one nation under God.
