I want to apologize for not sending devotionals ... It is complicated ... I went on vacation then my mother was very sick ... then she passed away at the end of June ... ten I grieved until now I think I can resume ..

Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

So true, when we enter recovery, we think we are the mountain -- as we grow in recovery- we meet this marvelous God and our size decreases as He increases. 

I relate to the Great Rocky mountains and  the roar of the ocean waves crashing shore in a storm -- the power and size of those often leave me breathless -- and to think our God is so much bigger and stronger than that. 

He loves us so much that He came to earth as a man, Jesus for us to relate too more intimately and providing the ultimate sacrifice so we could have life – not just here on the earth but eternally.  That is the perfect example of humility.  If He did that than how can we deny Him in as the strength in our recovery. 

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature  of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

Pray for our children

Turn our hearts toward heaven

Seek to be one nation under God.
