Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

God is seen in many things.  God is Elohim – the Creator – He took the universe that was unformed and void and chaotic and made it into this beautiful earth, and solar system.  He placed us on this planet to tend the earth and keep it as He created.  We can see Him in that creation – but we experience Him in the relationships we have – through the kindness of our fellow addicts – It shows His closeness.

But God’s best gift is that He sent His Son, Jesus to die for our sins – to save all mankind from the condemnation of sin and death.  When we discover recovery – we soon come to realize that if we don’t let our secret out – and admit we are powerless and in we are in need of recovery, then we can never experience God’s greatest gift for us.  Ask Him into your heart today -- receive His gift -- share in the love.

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of  His beloved Son,

 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the  image of the  invisible God, the  firstborn of all creation.
