Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

At first look in our Recovery Journey it doesn’t seem like it is something that is totally what we would want to do.  We can’t comprehend that this program will provide a simpler existence and help in conflict resolution.  But we begin to listen to the other’s stories of what worked for them -- and we see a constant thread throughout their stories -- Jesus. 

Yes this Jesus seems to be the key to it all – He makes the program the totality – He makes me what I couldn’t be on my own.  Truly I am a new flower in God’s garden. 

“As a father has compassion on his children,
 so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

for he knows how we are formed,
 he remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass,
 he flourishes like a flower of the field;

the wind blows over it and it is gone,
 and its place remembers it no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting
 the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
 and his righteousness with their children's children-

with those who keep his covenant
 and remember to obey his precepts.” -- Psalm 103: 13-18
