Just For Today – Step Ten -- Due Note

STEP TEN Is about maintaining progress in recovery.

We continue to take personal inventory, and when we are wrong, promptly admit it.

“So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you do not fall.” -- I Corinthians 10:12

"An honest regret for harms done, a genuine gratitude for blessings received, and a willingness to try for better things tomorrow will be the permanent assets we shall seek.

"Having so considered our day, not omitting to take due note of things well done, and having searched our hearts with neither fear nor favor, we can truly thank God for the blessings we have received and sleep in good conscience."

Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

We can equate Step Ten daily inventory and admitting when we are wrong –with confession of sin.  Recovery and belief are growing processes.  God reveals in His time those things we need to work on and all He asks is that we humbly approach Him and reflect with His will. 

As we do our inventory we will find  that it is not all bad -- good things are coming our way also.  We are receiving an abundance of blessings -- at least one each new day -- a new day of spiritual sobriety.  For that we all should be eternally grateful and count it all joy.  When we meditate on that thought we surely can face anything that comes our way – because God is by our side. 

“I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed.  You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.  For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” -- Deuteronomy 30:18-20

Pray for our children

Turn our hearts toward heaven

Seek to be one nation under God.
