Thanksgiving Day, is an annual holiday observed in the United States and Canada. The most common view of its origin is that it was to give thanks to (the Judeo-Christian) God for the bounty of the autumn harvest.

In this world today, one man in California with the help of the ACLU, is on a mission to remove God from our money, our monuments, even our national anthem.  Things have changed since the beginning of this country -- today we are fighting to keep God as the focus of this nation -- God has always been the center of our nation as evidenced in many writings, letters and documents from our beginnings. 

We need to give thanks this Thanksgiving Day for a country where we freely worship God.

Note the words of another attorney in 1813 as he watched as the Americans defended the land:

"Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.

You can’t reason God – you can’t scientifically prove Him, you have to feel Him in your heart.  We fight Step Three …

And acknowledging Him in our lives, and allowing Him

To work through us. 

Then we begin to see Him, to Realize that logic doesn’t have to apply -- that we Can just worship Him and pray and ask Him to direct Our paths. 

We thank Him for the tools of the steps and The support of the groups - - then we can say “we came To believe…”

Psalm 100

“A psalm.  For giving thanks.

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
