JUST FOR TODAY! – Step Twelve --
Demonstrations
STEP TWELVE Is about
ministry
Having had a spiritual
awakening as the result of these steps, we try to carry
the message of Christ’s grace and restoration power to
others and to practice these principles in every aspect
of our lives.
“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are
spiritual should restore him gently. But watch
yourself, or you also may be tempted.” --Galatians 6:1
"Our basic troubles are the same as
everyone else's, but when an honest effort is made 'to
practice these principles in all our affairs,'
well-grounded AA's seem to have the ability, by God's
grace, to take these troubles in stride and turn them
into demonstrations of faith. We have seen AA's suffer
lingering and fatal illness with little complaint, and
often in good cheer. We have sometimes seen families
broken apart by misunderstanding, tensions, or actual
infidelity, who are reunited by the AA way of life."

The emotions and troubles will always be
with us. What is important is how we process them.
When we can look at things through God’s perspective and
process our troubles with faith and peace, yes sometimes
even good cheer – the message is proclaimed to all those
that are near us.
During this time of the year – we reflect
on the miracles of Life itself. At Christmas we are
joyful – because in remembrance Emmanuel is born - God
With Us – Jesus. At the same time, we have Chanukah to
remind us of the miracle of the one day’s worth of oil
that lasted 8 days until more oil was consecrated and
faith was restored in God.
Yes no matter the problem, God who came
to us – is with us and has provided us with the tools to
live each day, one day at a time – sober. Our cups are
overflowing with gratitude, our duty to tell the world.
A phrase that is proclaimed on many cards at this time
of the year, we leave you with “WISE PERSONS STILL SEEK
HIM!”
“But thanks be to God, who always leads
us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us
spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of
him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those
who are being saved and those who are perishing.” -- II
Corinthians 13-15
Trust in the LORD with all
your heart
and lean not on your own
understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3, 5-6
