JUST FOR TODAY! – Answers

From "Bill's Story:"

"I was to test my thinking by the new God-consciousness within ... My friend promised when these things were done I would enter upon a new relationship with my Creator; that I would have the elements of a way of living which answered all my problems.  Belief in the power of God, plus enough willingness, honesty and humility to establish and maintain the new order of things, were the essential requirements."

Just for Today -- A Daily Devotional

**********************************

Humility – a trait in addiction that we rarely acknowledged. but the same characteristic of humility is what gets us sober.  Humility comes easiest when we meet our God – when we see our example in Jesus Christ and the humble way He lived we can’t help but be driven to the floor face down in gratitude and love for what God has done in our lives.

It’s not a new order of things -- it is a new creation in us -- the old passing away -- the new taking over -- Praise to God for His ways and His love.  Don’t fight the God-consciousness call on Him TODAY!

“While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, " This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”  When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground and were terrified.  And Jesus came to them and touched them and said, "Get up, and  do not be afraid." -- Matthew 17:5-7

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3, 5-6

”Two are better than one, because they
have a good reward for their toil.
For if they fall, one will lift up the other;
but woe to one who is alone and falls
and does not have another to help”
